How we size

  1. Measure

    You measure once, following the steps each tool shows with their source.

  2. Rule

    We apply each source's rule as it is written and add no margin of our own. Where a tool combines sources, its page says which source sets what.

  3. Source

    Every answer names its source, the date we checked it and how sure the answer is.

    The source gives one figure for this.

  • Range

    Any size in a band meets the rule. No answer uses this label yet.

  • Depends on the maker

    The answer rests on makers' own figures or rules, which can differ between makers.
