About Find Your Size
Last updated
We turn rules that makers, trade bodies, standards bodies and charities publish into a size for you, and show where each rule came from.
In short
- Every size comes from a rule that someone accountable has published. We quote it and show the date we checked it.
- We do not test products. We read what makers, trade bodies, standards bodies and charities publish.
- Links marked Ad go to Amazon. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through them.
- Commissions never change the size we give you or the order of products.
- Mistakes are corrected in public, with the date.
Why does Find Your Size exist?
Find Your Size exists because a size name alone can mislead. The National Bed Federation warns that one shop's king size may not be exactly the same as another's, and advises checking actual dimensions.

The rules that settle a size are published, but they are spread across makers' size charts, trade body pages and standards documents. This site brings them together, applies them to your measurement and shows the source and the date we checked it with every answer.
How we size explains the method step by step.
Who runs Find Your Size?
Find Your Size is run by one person who enjoys the work: finding the published rule behind a size, quoting it with the date it was checked and saying plainly when no source gives one.
That person is responsible for what the site says. The contact page says how to get in touch.
Who pays for Find Your Size?
Commissions from links marked Ad pay for Find Your Size. Links marked Ad go to Amazon. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through them.

Does Find Your Size test products?
No, Find Your Size does not handle or test products. Every size comes from a published source, named on each page with the date we checked it. In our product lists, the figures are what each Amazon listing says, with the date we read it.
What happens when you get something wrong?
When we get something wrong, we correct it in public. Each change is listed on the corrections page with the date, the page, what changed and why.
