In short

  • Links marked Ad go to Amazon. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through them.
  • Commissions never change the size we give you or the order of products.
  • We choose models from makers' own pages, never from Amazon data.
  • The site shows no Amazon prices, photos or ratings. Names in our product lists are shortened from each Amazon listing.
  • Links without the Ad label are not adverts.

What does a link marked Ad mean?

A link marked Ad is an advert, and it goes to Amazon. Links marked Ad appear only in product blocks: after an answer on our size tools, and beside each product in our product lists. The sentence at the top of this page also sits above every product block and at the foot of every page.

Do you earn money from Amazon links?

Yes. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made after you click a link marked Ad.

How can I tell which links are ads?

Look for the word Ad inside the link, after the words See it on Amazon. Every link to Amazon carries it. UK advertising rules ask for this: the CAP Code says marketing must be obviously identifiable as such, and the ASA says affiliate links themselves should be identifiable as advertising.

Sources: CAP Code, recognition of marketing communications (external site) checked ; ASA, affiliate marketing advice (external site) checked

Each one is also marked as sponsored in the page code.

Links without the Ad label, such as those to makers' size charts and trade bodies' pages, are there so you can check our sources. They are not adverts.

Does a commission change the size you give me?

No. Commissions never change the size we give you or the order of products. The size comes from the published rule, and the answer is the same whether or not a page shows any products. A No recommendation answer shows no products at all.

On our size tools, products sit after the answer, never before it, grouped by size with yours first. Models we checked are chosen from makers' own pages, never from Amazon data. Our product lists show products sold on Amazon UK, picked from Amazon UK's own category lists, with facts quoted from each listing. Commissions never change an answer or the order of products. Amazon listings are never our source for a size.

How we size explains where every size comes from.

What do the product cards show?

Each card shows the maker's name and model as the maker writes them, the size the maker states with a link to the maker's page, our own drawing of the product type, and the link marked Ad. Mattress cards also say which UK size the maker's figures match, with the National Bed Federation's guide linked.

The cards show no Amazon prices, photos, ratings or product titles, so nothing on a card comes from Amazon.

In our product lists, each name is taken from the product's Amazon listing and shortened by a fixed rule. The lists show no Amazon prices, photos or ratings; the figures in them are what each listing says, marked as the listing's.

Where does a link marked Ad take me?

A link marked Ad takes you to Amazon's UK site in a new tab: either the product's own page or, until we have confirmed the exact product, an Amazon search for the maker's model name.

We sell nothing ourselves. Anything you buy after following a link marked Ad, you buy on Amazon's site, on the terms shown there.

The link carries nothing you typed into a tool. The privacy page says what happens when you follow it.
